Why I Created This Guide
This guide began as a Stanford computer science project and grew into a resource rooted in something I care deeply about: helping more women break into investment banking. I taught myself the HTML and CSS needed to turn that idea into a practical, public platform.
In my role as Co-Head of Education for Stanford Women in Finance, I have seen firsthand how confusing recruiting can feel when you are encountering its timelines, terminology, and expectations for the first time.
My goal is to make that process clearer and more approachable. I have met talented students with the analytical ability, discipline, and interpersonal skills to succeed in finance who simply needed a better starting point and more confidence navigating the process.
I built the guide I wish I had when I started exploring finance. It remains women-centered because that mission is personal to me, while the practical lessons are here for anyone who finds them useful.
Who I Am
My leadership foundation began at Phillips Academy Andover, where I served as President of the Andover Business Club, captained the girls varsity rowing team, and graduated cum laude. Those experiences first taught me how much I enjoy building teams, creating opportunities for others, and performing in demanding environments.
I'm a Stanford Economics student, Division I coxswain, and Co-Head of Education for Stanford Women in Finance. Across each of those roles, I have learned to lead calmly under pressure, communicate with precision, and help ambitious teams perform at their best.
My finance experience spans wealth management at Newport Capital Group, private equity at One Equity Partners, and investment banking at Jefferies. At Jefferies, I supported live transaction work across secondaries, leveraged finance, and financial sponsors, including a continuation fund transaction and a cross-border financing and repricing.
Outside of work, I mentor candidates through Make a Play Foundation, lead technical and recruiting education for SWIF, and built this site to make investment banking recruiting more transparent and accessible. I was also selected as a 2026 featured honoree by Influential Women.
I'm still learning, and I certainly don't have all the answers, but I hope that sharing what I have learned can make the path clearer for the next person entering finance.

Why I Chose Investment Banking
I didn't always know exactly what I wanted to do, but I knew I was drawn to finance and building a strong foundation early in my career. Investment banking became my way to learn fast, challenge myself, and keep my options open.

- Finance rewards preparation, intellectual curiosity, communication, and follow-through.
- Recruiting expectations are not always obvious to students encountering the process for the first time.
- Clear, honest guidance helps candidates focus their effort and show up more prepared.
If this site helps even one person feel more confident going into a coffee chat, an interview, or a first day on the job, then it has done its job.
